In such interview Hiring Manager or HR Manager takes decision mostly on reviewing candidate’s capabilities, experience, qualifications, and his attitude/nature.
Here are a few things which I think is important or you can say “DO’s and Don’t” J
- Do make eye contact and smile once in a while.
- Do answer in detail. Provide a statement and add good examples to support your statement
- Do know about the company and ask some qualified questions. Show an interest in learning more about the people, culture, position, etc.
- Do NOT just answer "Yes" or "No" (especially the latter). For example: Q - "Have you working experience with Java?" A - "No, but I have worked with many other software packages and I am a quick learner." Give some good examples.
- Do NOT make stuff up, you will get caught and it will be awkward.
